Termed as the "Sexiest American Idol", AI's Season 8 winner Kris Allen will grace his Filipino fans as he will be having two part concert here in the Philippines!

I know everyone of us were really, really excited for this concert! But before that, let us all again welcome Kris Allen here in the Rhythm of the Rock! =)

Just like last year when the two David American idols Archuleta and Cook performed a concert here in our country, it's now time for the latest AI winner to have another concert!

Kris Allen together with his guest boyband will be having two concert here. The first will be happened in Cebu while the other one will be in NCR. And guess what, his NCR concert which will happen on February 6, this coming Saturday night, the venue is here near our office! Yeah, it is infront of our building here in The Fort! Actually right now, the stage for his concert was already prepared! We can almost see it everytime we arrive in our building!

Oh, I like to see him! But the problem is, his concert will happened on the night of our day-off so we will be away from the vicinity of our office! And most of all, I have no enough money to buy ticket for his concert knowing that his tickets were so expensive!

So sad! Hayz...before, I promise to myself that when he will have a concert here, I will surely watch it! Now the time has come but chances forbid me!

Maybe I'll just enjoy seeing his concert on TV or DVD. Some other times, I hope I can make it! Or how I wish somebody will treat me for his concert! That's much better! =)

For the meantime, let us again congratulate Kris Allen for his success! After winning last year in AI and hitting songs like "No Boundaries", "Apology", "Ain't No Sunshine", and many more, last November 17, 2009, he launched another album, his major-label debut album (second overall)!

Well, here is another good hit song originally popularized by Taylor Swift!

I first heard this song in PBB Double-Up when Johan and Cathy sing it during their live concert. They sang it beautifully together with their own beats!

At first, I didn't know that it was Taylor Swift who originally performed it!

A ring or a circle of lights; an aura or a radiance; surrounded! These were some of the words that describe the term "halo"!

But for Beyonce, how did she describes it?!

As followup to her successful hits like "Single Ladies", "Irreplaceable", and other smash hits she popularized last year and this early year, "Halo" is such her other single that creating another hit nowadays! Radio stations, bars, jeepneys, and other public places, you will hear this song! Even in our gym, this song was always played!

The "Boys Over Flowers" craze once again blooms just recently this month after ABS-CBN brought them back on Primetime!

Well, like many of us, everyone felt excited with their comebacks. Teenagers, youngsters, and even young at heart really got happy seeing back their crush!

Well, as you always requested, one more time, I have here with you the today's hottest Korean F4!

Though we can't understand the lyrics of their Korean songs which were used as a soundtrack in their TV series, many of their hit theme songs were really great! Beside our all known "Paradise" and "One More Time", I know you already heard this song! Yup, it is always played in every chapters of the series!

This song is called "Stand By Me"! I really like this song even though I can't understand it since it is sang in Korean! I only understand the lines "stand by me..." but the rest of the words are too hard to recognize! Haha!

It's really a Korean invasion this year in all the aspects of entertainment. In terms of music, another Korean girl group invaded the hit chart.

Let's once again allot this page for the domination of K-Pop music. Now this time, let's applause the 2NE1...!

For this year, 2 Korean girl group invaded the music scene. Wonder Girls on one side, 2NE1 on the other! After we enjoy dancing "Nobody", here comes another dance hit with a trademark sound of "e-e-e-e-e" with the word "2ne1" as part of the lyrics of their every songs!

Well, first of all our kababayan Sandara Park which is now known in the group as Dara contributes a great impact to the Filipino.

Yeah, if you can still recall Sandara or Dara was the former 2004 Star Circle Quest runner-up. She was really popular here in the Philippines and made a blockbuster film together with her ka-love team Hero Angeles, the reality show's Grand Questor. They were truly sikat that time and even dominated the TV and commercial industries.

And in 2005, Sandara also made various hit novel songs such as "Walang Sabit", "In or Out", "Smile In Your Heart", etc. Afterwards, Sandara shines no more leading her back to Korea and pursue another career there.

Romantic...! Maybe this is a word that would describe this new revival song of Christian Bautista. Hearing it the very first time, you will really fall in love!

In my case, hearing the new version of this song, I really felt love. I can't help imagining myself in a romantic candle light dinner with my very special someone! I feel, I was in the hands of love...embracing me too tightly!

Giving a bit of information about this new song, it was originally done by Mr. Jose Mari Chan. It was a smash hit on late 80's or early 90's and now became a popular classic song. It was then became a remarkable hit of Jose Mari Chan together with his other singles!

Now in our present days, the Asian Pop Superstar, Mr. Christian Bautista make a very good fresh revival of this song. It is a carrier single in his latest album, "Romance Revisited, The Songs of Jose Mari Chan" ! Yeah, all the songs in his album were the classic hit songs of Jose Mari Chan! Christian performed the revival of all the hits of Mr. Chan!

So successful that on the carrier single itself, everybody loves it! Infact, it was used in many love stories on TV specially the recently concluded Sunday afternoon romance mini-TV series Your Song Presents: "Someone To Love" which stars Bea Alonzo and Sam Milby!

And in terms of hit list, it was reported that this Christian Bautista's album topped the list replacing "Nobody" by Wondergirls in the No. 1 spot! Great!

In my own experience, my heart was really caught by this song! The rhythm, the beat, the melody, the singer, and the lyrics of the song was truly captivating!

It feels that you met someone somewhere in a place and you are wishing to get even just her name. I can really relate specially with the lines saying: "Tell me your name you’re lovely, Please tell me your name, Just when I thought, This would be one of those boring games, You walked into these feelings, You looked at me and smiled, My heart unfroze and started going wild...!"

Yeah, those lines were very similar to all of my experience. Majority of my encounters usually in the public places like malls, MRT, or bus, I met someone that really caught my heart! I'm wishing or I initiated to know them or even got their names. Some failed, but many were successful! We ended up in a romantic encounters in different motels! Hmmm...are these just a short time love affairs or only an intimate lust!?

I Knew I Loved You

I was in Third Year High School when this song becomes a smash hit! And this song also was such a memorable one being one of my theme songs to my first love. Will you eventually feel love the very first time you see someone?


It was 1999...oh its exactly 10 years ago! I was a 15-year old boy when I experience their so-called 'first love'! How doest it feel? How was it?

It was September of that year. I will join our Philippine History Quiz Bee Contest. Glad to say that in our batch, I was the lucky one who would represent our year. And of course, as the main contestant, I had also my other classmate who would alternate me.

So being the contestants, we will be train by our mentor, our Social Study Lady Teacher. She was one of my favorite teacher!

Our trainor not only holds our batch. She was also the teacher of the Fourth Year. Like in our year, she also had contestants from the higher year. And this was it!

When we came to the faculty office to start our first review, our trainor introduced us to her other two contestants, one boy and one girl. Meeting and knowing her girl contestant, I couldn't explain how my heart beats that faster! I didn't exactly knew.

Time goes by, every training, every review, my feelings for her grew deeper and deeper. The last day of our review was the hardest thing for me. That was the time that we couldn't anymore see each other on everyday basis. But the end of our review didn't served as the hindrance for not seeing her. Every after class, every school events, I always ensured that I could see her. I even encouraged her to join my organization.

And one of my way to talk with her and even get closer with was that I always borrowed books from her. Yeah, she loves to read books specially pocketbooks. I made sure that I could borrow all her academic books. I just reasoned out that I need those books since I don't have any!


Hmmm...seems that we are talking too long! I will cut first our story for now and watch out for our next chapters when I introduce to you our other more theme songs.

Man In The Mirror

Up to now, the news about the death of the 'King of POP' Michael Jackson didn't rest into its own peace. The latest news about him is still on the search for his 'mysterious death'! Still no conclusion for the real cause!


We could deny the fact that Jacko made a variety of contributions worldwide. His songs were really an inspiring masterpieces.

Besides his rock and pop hits, Jacko could also be remember with his songs promoting peace and welfare. If you could still remember his hits like "We are the World" and "Heal the World (Make it a Better Place)", he's really an ambassador of peace! Music videos of these songs showcased peace, unity, and welfare of the poor around the world.

Seeing some of his videos on MYX, I was also inspired with his another song. In this music video, you won't see any appearance of Michael Jackson. Instead you will see poor people, dark children without homes, helping hands between one another, peace and unity worldwide. This particular song is the "Man in the Mirror".



Surprisingly, this song was also revived by our favorite American Idol, Kris Allen. It is part of his album. Well, hearing both the original version from Jacko and the latest new version from Kris, the song sounds very good. The message was still retained and more feelings and emotions were putted on the song.

Sleepless or could not sleep...! Restless nights or long nights without sleeping? Well, majority of us is experiencing such condition. We can't sleep because something or someone is bothering us.


Hmmm...seems like we're talking of medical condition. Yeah it's a sleeping disturbance that prevents our goodnight sleeps. But the song...it's inspiring. I like the beat. The rhythm is so nice. The message is too relevant to someone deeply inlove who keeps on thinking and thinking.
